A few photos of my annual snow-fort / winter patio. It’s +6C on Feb 15th, rain tomorrow, but the it cools off for a bit. This could be my best snow structure yet.
The tower base is just a snow-bank with the sides sawed off and piled on top. This is the bottom of the tower floor.
I use my Coleman Cooler to mold the bricks. I've used many a mold in the past but this is by far the best I've tried. IT'S FREE MATERIAL!
My basic firepit is used year round.. An oldie but a goodie.
From the tower. This is about 10 feet high... so far
The temperature is above 5 celcius in this shot.. will it melt!? Send cool thoughts
It takes 15 blocks per course. I will add one more
Passers-by stop and wish me luck fairly often. Everyone loves a snow fort
Feb 15th, Rainy day in the snow fort. Firepit doggie pool cover is on.
After the rain. The tower erroded a bit but now it's ice.
Deformed from the rain. It's fairly solid ice. Today the temperature is -15C
That’s cool! ❄️
